Catering Assistant x 2 Part Time
We are currently looking to recruit 2 catering assistants to join our catering team.
We are dedicated to providing quality fresh food for children and staff. We work in a friendly environment to create healthy meals which taste great. The Governors aim to ensure that all aspects of food and nutrition promote the health and well-being of pupils, staff and visitors to our school, supporting individual needs (cultural, ethical and medical) as appropriate.
We require a Catering Assistant to work 12.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
The role will include:
The preparation of fresh vegetables and salads
Assisting the Catering Manager with other areas of food preparation
General cleaning duties and washing up
Setting up of tables ready for lunch time
The ideal candidates should:
• be adaptable and have a positive attitude
• have a food hygiene level 2 qualification (training will be provided if required)
• have basic first aid qualification (training will be provided if required)
• be willing to learn the school’s fresh food ethos, presentation principles and food safety and hygiene standards is key to this role
The successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check paid for by the school and will require 2 satisfactory professional references.

Salary Range: SP 9 – SP 11 (pro rata for 12.5 hours per week)
Hours of work: 12.5 hours per week
Days: 195 days a year
